Amberly is a beautiful planned community in Cary. Amberly is made up several smaller Cary neighborhoods. The neighborhoods are designed to have a unique style and feel but somehow still be woven together.
This Cary subdivision has very exclusive amenities including walking trails, a beautiful 19-acre lake, recreational areas, greenways, pools, gymnasium, a village green, residents club, and shopping areas. Each neighborhood also has its own set of amenities.
Price-wise, a home in Amberly depends on the neighborhood it's located in. You can get into an Amberly home starting in the low $200,000s on up to the upper $800,000s.
Amberly Neighborhoods
The Peninsula at Amberly
The Peninsula contains beautiful custom built homes starting in the high $300,000s with Cary luxury homes here ranging up to the $800,000s. These homes are very spacious and have the largest yards in Amberly. Both 2 story and ranch homes are available.
Village Square at Amberly
The Village Square in Amberly has, appropriately, a village atmosphere. It's located within walking distance of parks and recreational amenities, and has both single family and townhomes. The home's garages are located in the rear of the homes, leaving the front yards open, easily maintained and "neighborly".
The Village Square Townhomes are in the style of Brownstones. They're very spacious with 2 and 3 car garages and optional elevators.
Prices in the Village Square neighborhood run from the $300,000s to $600,000s.
Washington Square at Amberly
Washington Square is located next to the Amberly Lake and greenway trail. It's a townhome neighborhood which has brick homes with one car garages. Homes in this Cary subdivision begin in the $150,000 range.
Carolina Preserve at Amberly
Carolina Preserve is a Del Webb adult community with homes starting from the $200,000s. The Carolina Preserve has a very resort feel to it with an incredibly large club house and state of the art fitness area. There are a wide array of social activities and gatherings. Both patio homes and single family homes are available.
A real appeal of this neighborhood is that it offers all the amenities important to active 55+ adults yet it's not isolated in design as it is integrated within a larger multi-use community.
Amberly is located in a perfect area that is only a mile and a half away from Research Triangle Park and right off Highway 55.
Note: Amberly is a very large Cary subdivision. Most of it is situated in Wake County. However, a small portion crosses into Chatham County. This affects school assignment.
Other Cary subdivisions include Preston and Lockmere to the Southeast, and the luxury subdivision CopperLeaf to the Southwest.

Driving Directions: From I-40, take exit 278 to Hwy 55 East. Go about 5 miles, turn right on McCrimmon Parkway. Amberly is about a mile up the road.
