Glen Laurel is a beautiful golf community in Clayton. Glen Laurel's location along the Neuse River and its mature landscaping make this Clayton subdivision absolutely gorgeous.
Homes in Glen Laurel were built starting in the early '90s, however, construction has continued up through 2011. So you can have new construction homes in Glen Laurel and still have all the benefits of an established neighborhood.
Glen Laurel homes have nice large wooded lots both on and off the golf course. Some homes have river views.
There's a variety of home styles in Glen Laurel ranging in size from about 2000 square feet to over 5000.
A Glen Laurel home can be priced anywhere from around $200,000 to over $500,000.
Glen Laurel is a very active community. They have a Racquet & Swim Club, a playground, play field, and "Riverwalk Landing" which is a place to launch on the Neuse River, cook out, fish, and just enjoy.
There are lots of social groups and clubs in Glen Laurel. They're always having group outings or the swim and tennis leagues have something going on or there are festivals and parties for the kids. All this before you even get to the golf course.
The Neuse Golf Club is a semi-private 18-hole course in the middle of Glen Laurel. It's a 7,010 yards/72 par course designed by John Lafoy.
Glen Laurel is only about 20-25 minutes to Raleigh so lots of people work in the city and then choose to live in Glen Laurel. It has so much to do and such a great sense of community that is a highly desired Clayton neighborhood.
The other golf community in Clayton is Riverwood.
Driving Directions: From Raleigh, take I-40 East to Hwy 70 East (exit 306). Go east on Hwy 70 to Hwy 42 East. Turn left on Hwy 42 then right on Glen Laurel Road into the subdivision. Map
