North Hills Raleigh has had an interesting evolution. It originally opened in 1967 as the first enclosed mall in Raleigh. In 2003 it was torn down and reborn as North Hills Raleigh - a multi-use open air center with shopping, entertainment, a hotel, grocery store, apartments, condos, and a plethora of other thingies.

North Hills has an aura of money to it with high-end boutiques and shops - but Target is also there to keep us grounded.

North Hills restaurants are great - from burgers to haute cuisine - you can find it all. When you want to impress, there's a few hip spots for dinner and drinks.

After dinner you can go to a North Hills Movie or stroll around - the place is always alive.

There is a two-story Harris Teeter across Six Forks Road in North Hills East - it's kind of fun to take your shopping cart in an elevator - the first time.

Every Saturday from April through November there is a North Hills Farmers Market where you can buy local produce and listen to a live band.

There are about 100 stores and close to 30 restaurants. Throw in a movie theater, a hotel and homes - it sounds like it could be chaotic. Not so! The way everything is set up it is a great place to wander around, shop, eat, people watch and just have fun. It all seems to work pretty well here.

Raleigh Real Estate at North Hills

Ramblewood Homes
North Hills homes, Inside-the-Beltline homes beginning at 3000 square feet. These custom homes have downstairs master bedrooms, gourmet kitchens, two-car garages, and maintenance free yards. Prices start at around $900,000.

Ramblewood Cottages
North Hills "city cottages" are townhomes that look like single-family homes. They begin at 2300 square feet with prices starting at around $400,000. The cottages have some downstairs master bedrooms, rear alley-entrance parking with options for a garage.

The Lassiter
Condominiums that overlook North Hills offering all the conveniences and life that is North Hill. These North Hills Condos range in size from 1175 - 5800 square feet and are priced from $490,000 to $2.5 million.

The Cardinal
The Cardinal at North Hills offers Full-Service elegant Raleigh Retirement Living. The residences range from 900 to 2500 square feet. Entrance fees range from the $300,000s to $1 million.

Park and Market North Hills Apartments
North Hills apartments (studio, one and two bedrooms) located above shops and restaurants with direct access to an in-building Harris Teeter. Leasing prices range from $890 to $2,585.
