The RBC Center is an indoor arena in Raleigh. It's home to the Carolina Hurricanes and the North Carolina State University Wolfpack men's basketball team.
This is a great venue as far as arenas go. It is large, clean and decked out with a Red and White theme (tributes to both the Hurricanes and the Wolfpack). The seats are more comfortable than most - even in the higher up sections.
The lighting is fantastic for both sports games and concerts. They are large LCD screens for those who are not up close and personal.
The set-up of the arena works really well. It has lots of cool concession stands and bars along fairly wide-open concourses. The place is always very clean - that's good! No gum on your shoes to get out later.
If you are planning on a concert get floor seating if you can. The view is better there.
Parking
They have the Parking set up very well. There are plenty of spaces, it's well lit with easy entry and exit. What really helps is that you don't have that long pay line as you enter. You pay the person in charge of your parking section. It is $10 bucks to park - but that's to be expected.
Potties - always an important consideration
I've always found them to be very clean and fully stocked! They are conveniently located and plentiful - never had a huge line that makes you groan.
Prices Of Stuff
When you go to an event you know you will have to spend some money beyond the tickets. The RBC center is pretty good with their prices for food, beer, and trinkets. It's not cheap but you don't feel like you have been soaked either.
Staff
The staff is very nice and helpful. They seem like they are having a good time and keep things running smoothly and safely.
E-mail
I really like the added email feature. The RBC Center will email you few days before an event. They give you useful information like: parking lot opening times and regulations and the time the doors will open, and other useful tidbits.
The RBC Center really handles its events well - you'll enjoy yourself there.
Other Raleigh Entertainment venues we like to recommend are North Carolina Symphony , A.J. Fletcher Opera Institute, and Raleigh Little Theater.
