The Cupcake Shoppe Bakery is a delightful little shop located in downtown Raleigh's Glenwood South district.
The cupcakes here go way beyond good - they are in the "to-die-for" category.
Think about this - Lemon cake with lemon curd injection and lemon butter cream icing. Now, picture yourself eating it while you are floating down a lazy river on a quiet afternoon watching the magnolia blossoms go by. Ok, the river thing is in Erin's imagination but, those cupcakes are real and they are her favorite!
The Cupcake Shoppe has so many fantasy cupcakes and they are all incredible. Which one sounds best to you - You Mocha Me Crazy (dark chocolate cake with espresso buttercream), What's Up Doc? (Carrot cake with cinnamon cream cheese icing), or Cookie Monster (vanilla cake with Oreo buttercream)? Hard to decide isn't it?
But there's more . . . over a dozen flavors and delights plus - A FLAVOR OF THE WEEK! Erin feels it her personal obligation to try each week's flavor.
If you want other treats there are wonderful cookies, brownies and muffins - all fresh, of course.
They also make beautiful cakes and delights for special occasions - weddings, birthdays, anniversary - floating down a river - whatever you want - they can do it and it will be wonderful.
