Herons at The Umstead is an Elegant Cary Restaurant that we pick for our most special occasions or important event.
The superb food at Herons is matched by the beautiful setting, art, floral arrays, and service that define this luxurious restaurant. One thing we really enjoy is the lunch three-course tasting menu with accompanying wine pairing.
The patio overlooking the gardens and lake is fabulous for an evening glass of wine before going to the theater. At Herons Erin will usually go for the fish - either the Poached Halibut or the Tasmanian Salmon. Ed goes for the rack of lamb every time.
The Afternoon Tea and Sunday Brunch at this wonderful Cary restaurant are also great fun for that "I want to be pampered" day or for a special gift for the out of town guest.
