• Raleigh Closed Sales: Home sales were up this month compared to last year in July. July sales were up by a strong 8.9%.

• Average Raleigh Sales Price: The average sale price rose this month in relation to last July. The average price of homes sold in July was $348,047. That's an increase of 6.4% over last year.

• Days On Market: The average days on market before a sale dropped this month compared to last year. Average days on market now stands at 21 days. That's down 4.5% from last July

• Raleigh Active Listings: Active listings are down this month. Listings fell 11.8% from last year in July

Sellers and Buyers have a Great July

Even though we are in the hot "Dog Days" of summer, Sellers are happy with the quick response to their homes and the strong sale prices. Buyers are thrilled to find and get the home they were looking for in this tight market.

At the same time, demand is still outpacing what is available in many markets. Multiple offers are common and days on market continue to decline. New construction is stepping up to help and buyers are responding. As we go towards the Fall we feel the market will remain strong.
